Terms and conditions
1. Booking
Please check prior to booking that your required dates are still available. An initial reservation will be made for 5 days until the booking form is received. The form should either be sent in the post, faxed or emailed to L Preece, together with a deposit of £100. If the booking is within 6 weeks of the date of your stay, then full payment of the cottage is due immediately.
2. Payment
Payment of £100 deposit and the balance of the total cost (or both if within 6 weeks of reservation) can be paid either by cheque (made payable to L Preece) and sent with your booking form or by CHAPS/BACS into HSBC Bank, Account No 81420003; Sort Code 40-39-06. Well behaved dogs are welcome at £20 per dog per week.
3. Cancellation
If cancellation is made 8 weeks or longer prior to the date of occupation, no outstanding balance will be requested. However, if cancellation is made less than 8 weeks prior to occupation, you will be liable to pay the full balance. If we are successful if re-letting the property, we would be happy to re-imburse you the balance.
4. Arrival/Departure
Guests are welcome to arrive at the cottages from 3pm and must vacate the property by 10am on the date of departure.
5. Guests
India Cottage sleeps 4 and China Cottage sleeps 3 guests maximum and are for the exclusive use of the guests named on the Booking Form. Both cottages are only suitable if the children are aged 10+ and active adults as the ladders stairs to the second bedroom are quite steep. Sub-letting of the cottages is not permitted. NO SMOKING is allowed at the properties. Car parking is available with one space per cottage at owners risk.
6. Care of the Properties
Both cottages are furnished to a particularly high standard and guests should take good care of them and leave them in a similar order as found on arrival.
We will undertake an inventory check on departure and will require payment if items have gone missing or breakages and unreasonable damage made to the décor.
7. Insurance
The owners do have a Public Liability Insurance policy in place. You are advised to take out your own Holiday Cancellation Insurance.
8. Liability
The owners of the cottages do not accept liability for loss or damage to guest’s property or for personal injury. Cars parked on the premises are at the owner’s risk.
