India Cottage
Situation
Although situated in the heart of the town, its setting is quietly tucked away in an historic cobbled courtyard. Its private south facing roof garden enjoys views towards John Kyrle’s Summer House and the spire of the 14th Century, St Mary’s Church. Many restaurants and public houses are on your doorstep. Private parking is directly in front the property.
Description
The cottage was converted from an old warehouse in 2002, and has recently been completely refurnished for holiday letting. Old oak beams from the former tea shop (hence the name) blend superbly with superior contemporary fittings and décor.
The cottage is suitable for a couple and two children (aged 10 or above), teenagers or active adults, with spacious accommodation arranged on three floors.
Ground Floor
Kitchen/Dining
The modern fully fitted kitchen has underfloor heating and is fully equipped with oven, hob and extractor, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, toaster and kettle and all the usual cooking utensils. Contemporary black and white crockery and stylish glassware complement the stunning dining table.
Bathroom
White suite comprising bath with shower over, basin and WC; underfloor heating and heated towel rail. Mirror with lighting, shaver point. A Miele washing machine/drier is available for your exclusive use.

Bedroom
The master bedroom is stylishly furnished with cream distressed 'French style' furniture, complemented with pure crisp white cotton bedlinen and a pure silk Conran 'throw'. Radio alarm and hairdryer are available for your use.

First Floor
Stairs lead up to the stunning black and gold open plan sitting room with doors to terrace.
Sitting Room
Contemporary furnishings with black leather sofa and armchair, oak tables, designer black and gold lamps and silk curtains provide a cosy sitting room with a touch of opulence.


The cottage is equipped with the latest technology including a widescreen TV, Sky and In Home Theatre with a selection of DVD’s and CD’s provided. Wireless broadband is available throughout.
Galleried Bedroom
Ladder stairs lead up to the Galleried Bedroom with twin beds with beautiful oak beams above. NB This area is only suitable for children aged 10, teenagers or 'active' adults as the ladder stairs are quite steep. The single beds are full size.
