China Cottage

Situation
Although situated in the heart of the town, its setting is quietly tucked away in an historic cobbled courtyard next door to India Cottage. Its private south facing roof garden enjoys views towards John Kyrle’s Summer House and the spire of the 14th Century, St Mary’s Church. Many restaurants and public houses are on your doorstep. Private parking is directly in front the property.
Description
The cottage was converted from an old warehouse in 2002, and has recently been completely refurnished for holiday letting for 2009. Old oak beams from the former tea shop (hence the name) blend superbly with superior contemporary fittings and décor.
The cottage sleeps 3 and is suitable for a couple and one child (aged 10 or above), or active adult, with spacious accommodation arranged on three floors.
Ground Floor

Kitchen/Dining
The modern fully fitted kitchen has underfloor heating and is fully equipped with oven, hob and extractor, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, toaster and kettle and all the usual cooking utensils. Contemporary black and white crockery and stylish glassware complement the stunning dining table. A large wall mounted map allows you to plan your days!
Bathroom
White suite comprising bath with shower over, basin and WC; underfloor heating. Mirror with shaver point. A washing machine/drier is available for your exclusive use.
Luxury cotton towels and bathrobes for your use.
Bedroom
The master bedroom is stylishly furnished with stunning black 'French style' furniture, complemented with pure crisp white cotton bedlinen and a pure silk 'throw'. Radio alarm and hairdryer are available for your use.

First Floor
Stairs lead up to the stunning open plan sitting room with doors to terrace.
Sitting Room
Contemporary furnishings with brown leather sofa and armchair, walnut tables, walnut floating shelves, blind and curtains in beautiful designer fabric provide a cosy sitting room with a touch of opulence.
The cottage is equipped with the latest technology including a widescreen wallmounted TV, Sky and Home Theatre with a selection of DVD’s and CD’s provided foe your enjoyment. Wireless broadband is available throughout.

A small study/games/reading area is equipped with books, games and chessboard for your use. The contemporary glass table and chairs, with stunning arched light over and large walnut mirror adds space and interest to the living area.

Galleried Bedroom
Ladder stairs lead up to the Galleried Bedroom with a single bed with beautiful oak beams above. NB This area is only suitable for a child aged 10+ or 'active' adult as the ladder stairs are quite steep.

Roof Garden
A private, south facing roof terrace with stylish table and chairs enable you to enjoy the views of John Kyrle’s (known as the Man of Ross) Summer House and the spire of the 14th century, St Marys Church beyond.
